Hair Transplant Guide · Updated 24 October 2026
How graft structure contributes to a gradual hairline and coverage in different areas.
Grafts contain different numbers of hairs
A single-hair graft contains one hair; double-, triple- and quadruple-hair units contain more. This distribution differs between people. Total graft count is not the same as total hair count.
Different roles in different areas
Graft thickness, hair count, angle and arrangement affect the front transition. Fine single-hair grafts may be used at the hairline, while multi-hair units contribute to coverage behind it. Distribution is planned around hair characteristics and the design.
What KSD describes
At our clinic, grafts are sorted and prepared according to their structure and the recipient area’s needs. Donor selection and distribution follow Dr. Kinyas’s personal plan. DHI pens are used for implantation; KSD describes graft selection and preparation.
No guarantee from a name
KSD is our name for this approach, not a guarantee of a success rate, standard density or superiority over another technique. Assess the plan, graft handling, donor limits and follow-up photographs together. When comparing results, consider the treated area, follow-up month and photographic conditions.
