Hair Transplant Guide · Updated 24 October 2026
Facial proportions, age, existing hair and donor capacity guide an individual hairline design.
Position and proportions
Forehead height and facial proportions inform the design, but a single standard measurement does not determine the plan. Temples, existing frontal hair, donor capacity and your expectations are considered together. Reviewing front and side views in a mirror helps clarify the goal.
Graft selection and direction
Fine single-hair grafts can create a gradual front transition. Different graft structures may support coverage further back. Angle, direction and placement pattern matter; a straight boundary or greater density alone does not produce a natural appearance.
Planning for future hair loss
Existing hair can continue to thin. A very low hairline can increase the area that may need support later. Age-appropriate design and balanced use of the donor resource are assessed together.
Design at our clinic
Dr. Kinyas draws the hairline as part of the donor assessment and transplant plan. Explain the areas that concern you and how you style your hair. Similar case photographs can support discussion, but copying another patient’s hairline exactly is not the goal.
