KSD Graft Preparation
KSD Advance Premium DHI
The KSD approach involves selecting donor grafts, sorting them by their structure and distributing them according to the needs of the recipient area. Planning takes donor capacity and existing hair into account.
Donor Planning and Selective Harvesting
Harvesting is planned to preserve donor capacity. Hair thickness, the number of hairs per graft and the needs of the recipient area guide graft selection, including the use of multi-hair grafts.
Graft Preparation
Grafts are sorted into single-, double-, triple- and quadruple-hair units. Where needed, suitable single-hair grafts are prepared from multi-hair units for use at the front hairline. Each graft is allocated according to its characteristics.
A Natural Hairline Transition
Fine, single-hair grafts are used at the front. The hairline is designed around facial proportions, age and existing hair, with small irregularities and gradual transitions.
Coverage by Area
Multi-hair grafts are allocated behind the hairline, in the mid-scalp and in other areas as needed. Density and distribution depend on the size of the area and donor capacity.
Placement with DHI Pens
Grafts are placed using Choi pens, with their angle, direction and depth planned. KSD is the name our clinic uses for its approach to graft selection, preparation and distribution.
Suitability is determined by a medical assessment. The plan and achievable results vary between patients.
