FUE and DHI techniques are commonly used in hair transplants; depending on the experience of the hair transplant doctor, it is possible to have natural and dense-looking hair with both techniques.
The number of grafts to be transplanted in a single session varies according to the person's donor area, and planning is personalized. If your donor area is sufficient, we can transplant 6,000 grafts in a single session.
Depending on the size of the area to be transplanted, it takes between 2 and 6 hours.
Thanks to the needle-free local anesthesia gun used before local anesthesia, pain complaints in hair transplants have been reduced to a minimum. After local anesthesia, there is no pain complaint throughout the procedure.
The hairline should be created according to the person's preference, taking into account the person's face shape, forehead line and age; an agreement should be reached at a common point, also considering the adequacy of the bald area and the donor.
Our clinic is located in Maltepe Medicalpark Hospital. We work between 08:00 and 00:00.
Before the transplant, you get in touch with our assistants and share photos of the areas of hair loss and the donor areas; the doctor analyzes them and confirms your suitability for a hair transplant. Patients with no health problems or allergy to local anesthesia are asked to come on the day wearing a shirt or clothes that are easy to put on and take off, and to have had breakfast. If the patient has habits such as alcohol or smoking, they are asked to stop 1 week before the operation. If there is any health problem, the patient should consult their doctor about it and come to the hair transplant once the necessary treatment has been planned.
Patients coming from abroad or from other cities within the country are provided with hotel accommodation and VIP vehicle transfer from the airport to the hotel and from the hotel to the airport.
Hair transplants are performed on patients of any age whose hair loss has become permanent and who have a clearly visible bald area on the scalp.
A guarantee certificate is issued after the hair transplant, and the blood test results taken before the operation, together with the operation notes, are prepared for the patient and handed over as a file.
We perform hair transplants for hair, beard, eyebrow and mustache restoration, as well as for scalp burn wounds, surgical scars, and permanent hair loss that occurs after diseases causing permanent hair loss such as Alopecia areata and Lichen planopilaris.
The hair taken from the donor area does not grow back. Since the follicles are removed from the root with micro punches using a micromotor, no new graft (follicle) grows in place of the extracted grafts. Even if donor density decreases, the remaining follicles allow the donor area to close easily and heal without leaving marks.
You should not get a haircut before coming to the hair transplant operation; the hair is shaved at the clinic after the doctor's evaluation.
Patients who use blood-thinning medications or medications that may cause hair loss should consult their doctors; their medications need to be adjusted before the operation.
The hair transplant process is as follows: day 1 is the transplant day, day 3 is the first wash and check-up, and on day 10 the scab removal is performed and, as the follicles take, things return to normal. At the end of the 1st month, shock loss occurs, during which the transplanted hair, and the patient's own weak hair if any, falls out, and the shock period is completed on day 50. New hair growth starts on day 90 and continues for 1 year, completing the process.
It is possible to have permanent and natural hair after a hair transplant; with the special techniques we apply in our clinic, the success rate is above 90%.
If the follicles were taken from the donor area that is resistant to hair loss (the area between the two ears), they do not shed; like our normal hair, only the daily number of hairs falls out and grows back over time. Transplanted hair is permanent for life.
In female patients, as in male patients, it is possible to cover bald areas by applying a hair transplant for permanent hair loss. With the DHI pen technique, known as the latest technology, a window is opened at the nape, and the hair can be implanted with pens between existing hair in the areas of hair loss without shaving, so the empty areas can be covered beautifully with new hair.
The time to return to work may vary according to the patient's occupation. Office workers can return to work on the 3rd day after the operation; patient groups who have to wear headgear such as helmets or caps can return to work on the 10th day after the hair transplant.
In laser-assisted hair transplants, the laser applied before the transplant increases new blood vessel formation and nourishment of the scalp; when the transplant is then performed, the nourishment of the hair follicles improves and the success rate of follicle take increases.
Unlike the FUT technique, the FUE technique is applied by selecting and extracting follicles one by one with a micromotor and micro punches, without taking a strip of skin from the donor area. It gives the chance to collect more follicles from the donor area; since the skin is not cut and removed as a strip, no permanent scar forms in the donor area and complaints of numbness and pain are fewer.
In FUE hair transplants performed under sedation, for people who do not want to feel the minimal pain of local anesthesia or who have a needle phobia, the local anesthesia is administered during a light sleep to prepare the patient for the procedure. A patient under sedation has no complaints of pain or aching. Before sedation, the patient must have fasted for at least 6 hours and not taken any fluids; if the patient evaluated by the anesthesiologist is suitable, local anesthesia is applied under sedation.
Pain complaints after a hair transplant are minimal; for patients who feel an ache in the donor area, the pain can easily be controlled with painkillers.
In hair transplants, grafts suitable for transplantation can be selected and taken from the areas known as donor areas: the nape, chest, lower beard area and genital area.
For patients who need a second session, the second session should be performed 1 year after the first session.
The main reasons for choosing Turkey for hair transplants are its developed healthcare infrastructure and the presence of well-trained doctors, as well as Turkey's appeal in terms of tourism and shopping and the affordability of hair transplant prices.
In hair transplants, the way follicles are extracted is the same in both FUE and DHI: follicles are collected one by one from the donor area with micro punches using a micromotor. The way the follicles are transplanted to the bald areas differs between the FUE and DHI techniques. In the FUE technique, after local anesthesia of the transplant area, it is swollen with adrenaline-containing tumescent solution (normal saline, Ringer's lactate); then micro holes (channels) equal in number to the follicles to be transplanted are opened with sapphire or micro blades, and the follicles are placed by hand into the channels using tools known as forceps. In the DHI pen technique, after the area to be transplanted is numbed with local anesthesia, with no additional procedure on the transplant area the follicles are loaded by assistants into special micro pens (CHOI pens), and the doctor implants them one by one into the empty areas. Since the transplant is done without opening channels in the DHI pen technique, it is also known as direct hair implantation. In the FUE technique, opening micro channels means preparing the transplant area, which lengthens the transplant time, extends the time the grafts spend in solution and shortens their survival time; in the DHI pen technique, since no channels are opened and no preparation is needed, the transplant time is shortened and the survival rate of the follicles increases. Redness, long-lasting numbness and raised skin healing caused by opening channels in the FUE technique are much less in the DHI pen technique because micro needles are used. Hair transplant results with the DHI pen technique are more natural and denser.
With the DHI pen technique, it is possible to implant directly between existing hair or at the hairline without damaging the existing hair. In a no-shave hair transplant, only the area from which follicles will be taken is shaved.
The naturalness of transplanted hair varies according to the knowledge and skill of the hair transplant team and the transplant technique.
After a hair transplant, the donor area can be shaved 2 weeks after the transplant, and the transplanted area can be cut from the 1st month onwards.
Thanks to the stem cell stimulating factors it contains, platelet-rich plasma is one of the supportive treatments in hereditary hair loss, contributing to new blood vessel formation and to strengthening hair that tends to weaken.
PRP is a complex treatment in which our own blood is separated in a centrifuge and contains stem cell stimulating factors and many nourishing substances. It has no side effects. Mesotherapy is a mixture treatment made of various medications. They differ in both treatment protocols and effects and side effects; applying the two treatments together is recommended for hair loss.
In hair loss, PRP is a treatment that reduces hair loss and should be combined with other treatments.
In hair loss, it is applied as a protocol combining various vitamins, minerals and other medications that are deficient at the tissue level in the scalp. Mesotherapy, together with PRP, is an important treatment frequently used in the treatment of hair loss.
Laser hair treatment is one of the supportive treatments in hair loss; in addition to mesotherapy, it is an important supportive treatment applied in sessions.
Yes, because organic hair transplant is a hair transplant procedure applied with various techniques using our own stem cells without external support. PRP is one of these.
PRP is a treatment applied by taking an average of 10 cc of blood; depending on the size of the scalp, more blood may be taken and applied.
PRP is a natural treatment applied by separating our own blood, with no external substance added.
The PRP application procedure is one session per month for a minimum of 3 months and a maximum of 6 months within 1 year.
PRP and mesotherapy can be applied at the same time in the same session.
It is recommended to apply PRP after laser application.
If there is not enough hair in the donor area, the procedure cannot be performed. During the free consultation, you will be told whether this is the case.
No, we have no agreements with health insurance institutions for the services offered at our clinic.
